This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about state government by being a Senate page of the day or my "shadow." You would observe the Tennessee Senate in action, as few students ever have such a chance. One of my interests is to teach District Eight students about state government and civic responsibilities. I visit many schools each year. I support Boy Scouts Eagle Scout Courts of Honor ceremonies and Girl Scout Gold Awards to the best of my ability. I am a staunch advocate of educating members of our next generation to prepare them to shoulder the responsibilities of keeping America strong and free. I truly believe in our children and youth, and I want them to be well-prepared for the future. I announce two programs I make available through my office that may be of interest to students in Blount and Sevier Counties: For more information or to schedule a visit: Call my executive administrative assistant, Deana Guenther, at 1.800.449.8366, extension 12427. Please apply promptly. Available spaces are limited, and these spaces are being filled rapidly. Deana can tell you the best months and the best days of the week for your visit, as well as answer your questions about either program. Because of the length of the day spent in the Senate and the travel time involved, you may wish to consider spending the night in Nashville, a city with many interesting things to do. You may want to visit the
Today in Nashville Website for ideas about things to do and places to stay, while in Nashville. I hope to see you in Nashville!
